Last month I started exploring Social Media Strategy with you via an essay about life beyond predictive analytics & traditional business intelligence. That meta-level look at Social Media Strategy led to the realization that everything we do online is being watched and analyzed.
Today I am taking this whole thing a couple of steps further, from macro to micro level analysis. My new essay examines Social Media from a much more personal perspective to determine how do you might fit in to it.
We’ll redefine social media (it’s always good to update the working definition), learn about user contribution systems, evaluate the organizational realities that companies need to consider and look at some of the ways in which these tools are already influencing employee and consumer behavior.
