Here’s something that might work:
- Start a website that aggregates and licenses the thousands of free WordPress templates that are available online.
- When someone downloads the free template from your site, offer them matching business cards, brochure templates, etc.
- Give a percentage of the stationary revenue back to the template designer.
This will enable the person or company buying the WordPress template to establish a common image across their entire marketing platform.
It makes sense, since the ones buying templates are typically individuals or small/medium businesses who don’t have their own design staff.
I already know that neither Yahoo or VistaPrint are interested in the idea. How about you?
