Every year we pack up the van and head to my in-laws near Newport, RI for a beach weekend. There are six of us in my family and we inevitably pack too much, so I always find myself stuffing things over the back seat, under the middle seat, etc.
The cooler is the one thing that consistently annoys me in this endeavor, because it takes up so much space even though we actually only need it to go to and from the beach. I wish there was a way to pack it smaller, and expand it when I need to use it.
In other words, I wish there was a collapsible cooler.
Fortunately, there is! As happens sometimes (since I’m trying to crank out a new idea every day) somebody out there is already doing it. So today I want to give a shout-out to California Innovations who is already manufacturing this very product. Smart thinking, people!
Since I’ve never actually seen one of these in person, maybe my next Idea of the Day will be “How to Effectively Market a Collapsible Cooler.”
