The other day my oldest son was explaining to me that jellyfish stingers unroll from inside of the creature and shoot out into the victim. Since then I’ve been thinking of things that are retractable.
My vacuum cleaner cord is retractable. That’s cool. So is my tape measure. Quite useful.
After a while I struck on the idea of a Bungy Bat. This would be a baseball bat tethered to a ball via a cord, which would coil out of and wind up into the shaft of the bat. The toy would be targeted toward younger kids, and of course would have to be gauged properly so as to prevent ‘whiplash’ of the ball.
The fun part here is the fact that your kid could play ball by him/herself on boring summer days when nobody else is around. And maybe it would even be ok to play ball in the house…
